How to Set Up a Facebook Fundraiser for PRRF
- On the homepage, click on the “Menu” icon (three horizontal lines) and select “Fundraisers” under the “Explore” section. On desktop, go directly to the “Fundraisers” section via the left-hand menu.
- Select “Raise Money for a Nonprofit” to ensure all funds go directly to the Pediatric Retinal Research Foundation (PRRF).
- In the search bar, type “Pediatric Retinal Research Foundation” and select it from the list of nonprofits. If the nonprofit appears, click to confirm.
- Decide on a fundraising goal and set the campaign’s end date. This could be aligned with a special event, milestone, or ongoing support.
- Add a personal message about why PRRF is important to you and why your followers should support the cause. Sharing your story can inspire more donations.
- Craft a catchy title and a clear description of your fundraiser. Mention the purpose of the funds, the impact on children with vision loss, and how easy it is for people to contribute.
- Once everything is set up, click “Create” to publish your fundraiser. Then, share it with your followers, friends, and family via Facebook posts, stories, and direct messages. Be sure to regularly update and engage with your supporters throughout the campaign.
- Monitor your fundraiser’s progress through Facebook’s dashboard. Show your appreciation by thanking each donor and sharing updates on how their contributions are making a difference.
With just a few simple steps, you can turn your Facebook page into a platform for positive change and support for children with vision loss!
